Scholarship Opportunities

Thanks to the wonderful generosity of Craig Booth, the Honors Program is able to offer the following scholarships to Honors students:

Please note

The Booth Honors Program has a limited number of scholarships to award each year for research projects, travel grants, and other experiential learning opportunities. Scholarships will only be awarded to active Honors students who are enrolled in Honors courses and progressing towards graduation.

Study Abroad

This scholarship helps students participate in study abroad programs.

Application requirements:

  • Copies of the appropriate forms from the Study Abroad office
  • Personal statement about the students’ goals for this study abroad program (e.g., Why does the student want to participate in this program? What is the student hoping to accomplish? How will it facilitate the student’s future academic/professional/personal goals?)
  • Budget specifying expected sources of funding
  • Letter of support from faculty mentor(s)

Conference Travel

This scholarship supports students attending the Western Regional or National Collegiate Honors Conferences.

Application requirement:

  • Approval of presentation (paper or project) from Honors Program Director
  • Statement about student’s goals for this conference (e.g., Why is attending this conference significant for the student’s intellectual and/or creative development, academic progress, or future research/creative goals?)
  • Letter of support from faculty mentor(s)
  • Partners in the Park

    This scholarship supports student participation in the National Partners in the Parks program.

    Students must be approved by the Honors Program Director prior to registering.

    Research or Creative Projects Support Funds

    This scholarship is intended to support independent student-designed research or creative projects. The award can pay for materials, research expenses, travel, or other reasonable project-specific costs.

    Application requirements:

    • Description of the project, including a timeline for completion
    • Project budget (specifying expected sources of funding)
    • Letter of support from faculty mentor(s)
